Where to start?

Coaching and consulting are both very rewarding, but completely different experiences.

Coaching is a growth process where you learn to improve upon skills closely linked to your values and personal style over time.  As you learn more about yourself, you will be able to make better decisions and improve upon your methods.  Better decisions put you on the path to achieving your most desired goals.

Consulting is more of a Q&A process.  You ask questions and your consultant gives you the solutions.  Consulting is a great way to cut a learning curve and tackle big projects you need to implement immediately.  If you find yourself more concerned with the HOW than the WHY, you may want to start with Consulting.

What's important?

Whether you choose coaching, consulting, or a combination of both—remember that it’s OK to feel a little anxious, excited, and even overwhelmed at first.

If you’re a newcomer to the VA industry, you already know that you are going to have to put a lot of effort into creating a successful practice, no matter how good your skills are!  And, if you're a “veteran” VA struggling to get back on track, you know that running your own business is often a scary and rewarding venture.

The important thing is that you need to be able to see your dream unfolding in front of you and find yourself eager to jump in and grab it. You also need to know that you can stay focused and motivated to meet all of your goals and get your practice running.

Now that you have a clearer understanding of the choices that are available to you, you can make better decisions.
